Kim Holley
Chief of Police
Lots of rain falling today. It doesn't take long for water to accumulate on streets. Please slow down and drive safe. Do not drive through deep standing water.
The Selmer Police Department is proud to swear in four new officers to our patrol division. Please join us in welcoming, James Newhall, Lacey Howell, Anthony Morton, and Jason Bottone. Thank you Honorable Judge Ken Seaton for performing this ceremony. All four will have to attend the police academy. Welcome aboard, and we look forward to your service with us!!!!
Congratulations to Lieutenant Ron Pilkington for receiving the hometown hero award at tonight's Best of McNairy Banquet. Well deserved sir!!
Road crews are working to clear the roads. They're not as bad as anticipated HOWEVER, still expect hazardous conditions and drive accordingly if you must travel. Secondary and side roads are hit and miss. Some are covered some are partially clear again please drive carefully.
