The Selmer Police Department recently received funding from a grant provided by AAA Tennessee. The department used the funds to purchase traffic safety gloves from Haltz gloves and traffic safety lighting from Powermoon. The gloves are high-visibility gloves used to direct traffic which makes it easier for the officer to be seen by motorists. This makes the officer's directions to motorosts be seen more clearly, and make it safer for the officer at the same time.
